Short answer
In the spring of 1925, Rock Springs laid the cornerstone of an Orthodox church. The local paper, as the parish quotes it, reported that a priest had come the summer before at the urgent request of the many Orthodox people in town who had no church; that the Union Pacific Coal Company had given the ground; and that many Protestants had given money towards it. The Orthodox of the town and of the camps around it, a company magazine of 1925 recorded, were Greeks and Slavs: Serbs, Russians, Montenegrins, Bulgarians, Romanians and Dalmatians. The parish, Holy Trinity, will mark its hundredth year in 2027.
Four parishes are listed below, each with an address and its own website: two in Cheyenne, one in Casper and Holy Trinity in Rock Springs. All four belong to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

Orthodox Christians in Wyoming
Wyoming's Orthodox parishes are few and far apart, and each serves a wide area. Holy Apostles in Cheyenne describes its mission as sharing the faith throughout Cheyenne and south-eastern Wyoming; Saints Constantine and Helen, a few minutes away, calls itself the historic Orthodox community of the city and streams its services online.
Casper's Holy Trinity is the parish of central Wyoming, a parish of the Greek Metropolis of Denver. In the north-east, a mission in Gillette keeps only a social media page, and the OCA parish in Billings, Montana, says it holds services in northern Wyoming from time to time.
Orthodox Studies Institute, 2024; national figures, not Wyoming's
The only large study is national: the Orthodox Studies Institute looked at converts across twenty parishes, fifteen states and six jurisdictions. Of people received since 2013, two in three were under forty, the thirties outnumbered every other decade, and 44 percent were unmarried when they came in.
No such figure exists for Wyoming. Each of the four addresses below was confirmed on the parish's own site on 24 September 2026.
Where the community gathers
The four places fall into three parts of the state: the south-east around Cheyenne, central Wyoming, and the south-west.
Cheyenne
The south-east holds two: Saints Constantine and Helen on West 27th Street and Holy Apostles on Hynds Boulevard, both in Cheyenne, ten minutes apart.
Central Wyoming
Central Wyoming holds one: Holy Trinity on East C Street in Casper, about three hours north of Cheyenne.
The south-west
The south-west holds one: Holy Trinity on N Street in Rock Springs, four hours west of Cheyenne along I-80.

Distances that decide everything
A diagram, not a map. Driving times, as in the text.
The two Cheyenne parishes are ten minutes apart, and Laramie is an hour west. Denver is about two hours south, nearer than any other Wyoming parish is. Casper is about three hours north of Cheyenne, and Rock Springs four hours west; between Casper and Rock Springs is another four.
In practice, Cheyenne is the only place in Wyoming where two Orthodox parishes share a town. Everywhere else, the next parish is hours away.
Where you live, and whether you would move, are both on the cana.love form, which in Wyoming saves many miles.

Dating across jurisdictions, and with converts
Four Greek Orthodox parishes, one of them founded in 1925 by Greek and Slavic families together: Orthodox Wyoming is one jurisdiction with many origins, and cana.love lets each person say where they stand.
Twelve jurisdictions on one list
Jurisdiction is one of twelve choices on the form: OCA, ROCOR, Greek, Antiochian, Serbian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Carpatho-Russian, Albanian, Catechumen and Other Canonical. The parishes here are Greek; someone preparing to be received chooses Catechumen.
Practice, asked outright
Then come practice and intention: whether you are at the Liturgy every Sunday, whether you fast, whether you are looking for a spouse. English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Russian are all available.
Checked before it appears
Profiles and photos wait for review before anyone can see them, by software first and a person second. Asking another member for money breaks the rules, and fraud closes an account forever, with no warning.
Free, and no password
There is no charge and no subscription, and you never need a password: each sign-in is a one-time link or code by email.
What cana.love is and is not
cana.love is not an Orthodox-only platform.
The site also has Catholic, Protestant and still-searching members, all wanting the same kind of marriage; your privacy settings govern who can find you. In a state with four Orthodox parishes, a site open to one jurisdiction only would leave most people with no one to write to. What cana.love does promise can be checked: faith, practice and intentions are on every profile. It is run by Cana SpA, a company in Chile; the About page has more.
Meeting safely
- Keep the first meeting to daylight and a public place, with a leaving time agreed: coffee after the Liturgy, or a café downtown in Cheyenne or Casper. Let a friend know the place and, for I-80 or I-25 in winter, your expected time home. Your address can wait.
- About money there is one rule: until you have met in person, send none, lend none and pay for nobody's travel, whatever the story. A single report is enough for us to act.
For what follows a report, and how appeals work, see the community guidelines.
