Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These are the rules we actually apply. Every profile and every photo is checked by AI before it becomes visible, and anything doubtful goes to a person. If something of yours is not approved, the reason we send you points to one of the rules below.
Your photos
A photo is not approved when:
- Your face is not clearly visible.
- It is not a personal photo — a poster, a logo, artwork or someone else's picture.
- It is too revealing for a marriage-minded profile — underwear or undressed.
- There are several people in it and it is not clear which one is you.
- It is too dark or too blurred to make out.
- It contains contact details, links or watermarks.
Anything that does not fit these but is still wrong for the platform is refused with an explanation written by hand.
Your profile
Your profile must be about you and about looking for a marriage:
- Write about yourself truthfully. False or misleading information is removed.
- Do not present yourself as another person or organisation.
- Do not hide contact details, links or advertising in your answers.
- cana.love is for people looking for a spouse. Profiles that are here for something else are removed.
One more thing, and it is not a rule but a condition: to write to people or like them, your profile must be published — a few sentences about yourself, some answers to the questionnaire, and a photo that has passed review. Until then you can look around freely.
How you treat other people
Regardless of what anyone writes to you:
- No harassment, abuse, threats or hate speech.
- No explicit or offensive material.
- Never ask other members for money, and never send money to someone you have not met. If someone asks you for money, report them.
- No automated systems or bots, and no attempts to get around the checks.
How we act on this
We would rather explain than punish, so the response depends on what happened:
- A photo or a profile that breaks a rule is not published, and you are told which rule and why.
- A first, minor breach usually gets a warning.
- A repeated or serious breach gets a temporary suspension.
- Fraud, threats, or asking members for money get a permanent removal without a warning.
We are a small team. Checks by AI happen immediately; a review by a person can take longer.
How to report something
Every profile and every conversation has a report button. Tell us what happened in your own words — we read every report. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first; we are not an emergency service.
If you disagree with a decision
Open the photo in My photos and press “I think this is wrong”. Write in your own words why the decision looks wrong to you — a person reads it and looks at the photo again. You can appeal a decision once, and we aim to answer within 24 hours. Decisions taken automatically are always reviewed by a person on request. If you cannot reach the button for any reason, write to support@cana.love from the email address on your account.
Questions
Anything unclear in these rules — write to support@cana.love and we will answer, and fix the wording if it was our fault.
