What's new
What has changed on cana.love, and when.
ImprovedProfiles and photos pass a stricter review before they appear.
New profiles and new photos are held to a higher bar: what a person writes about themselves has to hold together with what the photo shows, and eighteen is a floor we check rather than ask about. What the review looks for stays unpublished — describing it would hand a map to the people it turns away.
NewOrthodox Christian dating in California and in Texas: two pages on where the Church is.
Parishes and monasteries by region, the distances between them, the calendar the year runs on, and how to look for marriage there. cana.love is not an Orthodox-only site; these pages are written for those who are.
NewA menu that shows you around before you register.
How it works, who it is for, places, and trust: every public page in four panels, with a line under each link saying what you will find there. On the phone, the same as a drawer.
NewSee every question the profile asks before you answer any.
The questionnaire page lists the questions with every option, as they stand on the form today: church, practice, family, languages. It is read from the form itself, not copied.
Improvedcana.love reads on warm paper now.
A softer background, ink where there was grey, a fine gold rule where a section begins. The dark theme is as it was.
ImprovedYour first like or message tells you what your profile still needs, and takes you there.
A photo, or a few sentences about yourself: the note says which, with a button straight to that part of your profile. The person you write to then sees a profile with something in it.
ImprovedRegistration is one step shorter.
The question about your goal is off the form: there is one goal here, marriage, and it is what cana.love is for.
NewIncognito hides your read receipts, in both directions.
Turn it on and nobody learns whether you have read their messages — and you stop seeing whether yours have been read. Receipts only work when both sides show them, the way other messengers do it. The settings page spells out every consequence before you decide.
ImprovedEvery feature on cana.love is now open to every member.
Read receipts, incognito browsing and everything else come with the account. Nobody is placed higher in search for paying. Money can only ever buy AI credits — and top-ups are off right now: every new member gets 150 credits to start.
NewYour dashboard shows who came by, on which day, and what to do next.
Pick a day on the bar and see exactly who opened your profile then. Recent conversations tell you whose turn it is. The advice names one thing worth filling in, and why it matters.
NewA decision about your photo comes with the reason behind it.
One letter for the whole batch, not one per photo. It shows which photo, names the rule and tells you how to ask us to look again.
NewAny moderation decision can be appealed, and a person reads the appeal.
The outcome reaches you by email, with the moderator's reasoning. Not every platform of this kind offers an appeal at all.
NewIf someone writes to you while you are away, we send you an email.
One summary for everything unread, sent a quarter of an hour later — long enough that reading the message on the site keeps the letter from being sent at all.
NewA report about another member reaches us straight away, and urgent ones go first.
Eight grounds to choose from, with anything involving a minor placed at the top of the queue. You are told what came of your report.
NewIf a measure is applied to your account, you learn of it by email.
The letter says what was decided, on what ground, for how long it lasts, and how to contest it. A limit set for a week lifts itself after a week.
ImprovedBlocking someone hides your profile from them completely.
In search, in suggestions and by direct link alike — in both directions.
ImprovedYour profile stays out of search engines.
Google and the rest are shown our public pages only — the homepage, About, the guidelines and the legal texts. No member profile is offered to them.
NewOur community guidelines are published in full.
Fourteen numbered rules for photos, profiles and conduct — each one linkable, so a decision can point at the exact rule behind it.

The chat assistant, the compatibility advisor and their suggested questions all follow the language you read cana.love in.
