1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cana ("the Service"), operated by Cana SpA ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Cana is an online dating platform designed to help individuals with traditional values find meaningful relationships leading to marriage. The Service includes profile creation, search, messaging, privacy controls, and optional AI features (such as match suggestions, a chat assistant, dating advice, and real-time message translation) that are powered by purchasable AI credits. Cana is free to use and does not offer paid subscriptions.

3. Eligibility

To use Cana, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Be legally able to enter into a binding contract
Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
Not have been previously banned from our platform

4. Your Account

Cana uses passwordless sign-in: you access your account with a one-time link or code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Upload explicit, offensive, or inappropriate material
Impersonate another person or entity
Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
Attempt to circumvent any security features
Solicit money from other users

6. Content Guidelines

All content you submit must be appropriate for a dating platform focused on traditional marriage. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines or our community standards. Content, including photos and messages, is moderated using a combination of automated (AI) and manual review to protect users.

7. AI Credits and Payments

Cana is free to use. Optional AI features are powered by AI credits. New members receive a welcome bonus of credits, and additional credits can be bought as one-time top-ups. Payments are processed by a third-party cryptocurrency payment processor (which may also accept cards and convert them to cryptocurrency). By purchasing credits, you agree that:

You will pay the price shown at the time of purchase (prices are displayed in US dollars)
Credits are a one-time purchase — there is no subscription, recurring charge, or automatic renewal
Cryptocurrency transactions are generally irreversible, and you will provide the accurate information required by the payment processor

8. Refunds

AI credits are generally non-refundable once purchased. We may issue a refund only in limited cases:

Technical errors: If a technical fault prevented you from using credits you paid for
Duplicate or erroneous charges: For duplicate or clearly mistaken transactions
Where required by law: Where a refund is required under applicable consumer-protection law

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Cana SpA and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you submit but grant us a license to host, display, and use it for the purpose of operating the Service.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find a match or that other users' information is accurate. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cana SpA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santiago, Chile, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
